What does sustainability actually mean?
Sustainability can mean many different things to different people, however we like to define it in accordance with the 3 pillars of sustainability: people, planet and profit. We believe that the only way to achieve true sustainability is finding harmony and balance within these 3 areas.
What sets Stormo & Co. apart from other sustainability consulting firms?
It’s very common in the sustainability space to use finger-pointing and shaming tactics to force companies to change their practices. We here at Stormo & Co. recognize that companies, both new and long established, are operating within a broken system, so we welcome and accept you right where you’re at. We find that focusing on building positive relationships and building a better future is a much better way to create a better business (and better world) than calling out others for doing things the “wrong way” in the past.
I’m thinking about starting my own “green” business and would like some advice. Can you help me?
Absolutely. We can help you with everything from branding to stakeholder engagement to carbon footprinting. Wherever you’re at in our process, we will work with you to get you to where you need to be.
How will I know whether my company has made an impact when using your services?
We are in this journey together and will set measurable goals and milestones with you to track your progress along the way. We will establish follow-up appointments when it’s convenient for you (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.) and provide you with easy-to-read reports detailing the progress you’ve made and our suggestions on how to move forward.
What are the benefits of hiring a consulting firm versus using in-house resources?
Flexibility. Partnering with a sustainability consulting firm allows you to get the level of guidance you need, where you need it.
Unmatched expertise. From sustainability reporting to branding and marketing, we have years of experience and skills to curate a customized experience for your company. This ensures that sustainability recommendations not only meet all regulations, but company goals, too.
Cost-effectiveness. Building an in-house team of experts with the variety of experience a consulting firm has can be cost-prohibitive and time consuming. Given the dynamic nature of sustainability, it is also challenging to stay abreast of trends, innovations, and horizon issues.
